Join us this Saturday, October 14th at 3:00 pm for our final RiverBrink TALKS lecture of the season!

Bridges – Elizabeth Chitty

The historic and contemporary Welland Canals are part not only of the Great Lakes Waterway but also the net of creeks and streams flowing throughout the watershed. Interdisciplinary artist Elizabeth Chitty has a body of work based on North Niagara waterways including Confluence Field Trips, which focused on Canal Valley in St. Catharines. With reference to her work, the unresolved Six Nations Welland Canal Claim, and childhood memories of “the bridge was up”, she will offer facts and imaginings related to the psychogeography of our life amongst the canals.
